Trip to Battery Gardens.

Today we took a trip to Battery Gardens to find out about what Brixham did in WWII. It was fascinating! We didn't realise what an important part our port played during that time.

Barry, our guide, told us loads of information.

This is where the soldiers stayed when they were on guard. It has been recreated using donations from the charity.

Here we are trying out a WWII battery charger!

It was great fun trying out the clothing and artillery.

Inside an old air raid shelter.

Overall we really enjoyed our trip, it was a great insight into what the soldiers did there and what their living conditions were like.
